The Alvin Taylor Street Club was established in response to a need for a Club that furnished facilities which would enable individual members of Alcoholics Anonymous to gain and grow in sobriety.

The Alvin Taylor Street Club furnishes the facilities for A.A. Groups in the Bay Area to meet. Any established or forming Group of Alcoholics Anonymous may apply to the Board of Trustees in writing for the use of the facilities. Assuming no conflict of day or time, most requests will be honored.

Though originally founded for a meeting place for "AA" Alvin Taylor Street Club now also provides safe and secure meeting places for NA as well as Alanon groups.
